At the end of the approval process as per the application, the assistance amount will be deposited directly online in the farmer's bank account. Crops like groundnut, cotton, paddy, sesame, millet, pulses, vegetables etc. have been damaged. Heavy rains in the state in August have caused huge losses to farmers. Following which a special decision has been taken by the state government today.

Currently planted in an area of ​​85 lakh hectares during the kharif season

The initial innings of the monsoon this year was good and the area under kharif season was 85 lakh hectares. The rains were favorable to agriculture. All the districts in the state had very good production conditions, but the situation changed in August and some talukas were flooded due to heavy rains. So that the crops have been severely damaged.

Out of the total plantation, 37 lakh hectares will be eligible for assistance

The state government has repeatedly announced that the state government was considering providing assistance to farmers in the state in case of crop loss of 33 per cent and above. Out of the estimated 51 lakh hectares of planted area in 123 talukas of 20 districts of the state, an estimated 37 lakh hectares will be eligible for assistance as per the aid norms after considering the assessment of the survey conducted by the Agriculture Department on September 19 damage in some talukas in kharif season this year.

The relief package will benefit more than 27 lakh farmers in the state.
