SBI has said that such mobile applications allow fraudsters to gain control of your device as well as access to your contacts, passwords and financial accounts.

The bank wrote in its tweet that some mobile applications may expose your personal information by tampering with your sensitive information. The avoidance measures given by SBI
- SBI has said that customers should always download a verified app.

- Before installing any application, check which company makes it and whether it is verified or not.

- Be careful when allowing any new application. Keep in mind that what the permission application asks is important?
- Do not save debit or credit card details in any application.

- Keep updating your smartphone regularly.
- Avoid free screensavers, as there is an inbuilt risk hidden in such applications.

- Do not click on any suspicious links found in the forward message
