Indian Airtel and Vodafone Idea Announces Tariff Plan with New Rate in Unlimited Category with 50% Price
Jio company launches all-in-one plan with unlimited voice and data starting December 6
Free unlimited calls and cheap internet users have suffered a huge blow from telecom companies. Mobile phones and Internet use in the country now have to pay 50% more. Private telecom companies Indian Airtel, Vodafone Idea and Jio have announced new tariff plans on Sunday, due to government funding with the tariff war in the telecom sector.
Airtel and Vodafone Idea's new tariff plan will go into effect on Tuesday nights from 12 noon. The Jio company will implement its new tariff plan from December 6.
For the first time in the last 5 years, prepaid plan rates have been increased. Since 2014, voice calling has become almost free on most networks, with data costs down about 95% from 269 per GB to Rs 11.78 per GB.
Indian Airtel and Vodafone Idea have announced tariff plans with a new rate in the Unlimited category with 50% higher price. All of these plans will be replaced with the ones currently underway.
Starting December 3, prepaid customers of both Airtel and Vodafone Idea will have to spend a minimum of Rs 49 for mobile phone calling and internet access for up to 4 weeks. Both companies also set limits for calling on other networks. The 28-day validity plan will have 1000 minutes, 3000 minutes on the 84-day plan, and 12,000 minutes of calling on the 365-day plan.
Vodafone Idea Company first announced a new tariff plan on Sunday. This new plan includes 2, 28, 84 and 365 days validity.
The Geo company will launch an unlimited plan from December 6. The company will launch an all-in-one plan with unlimited voice and data. This plan will be 40% more expensive.
Airtel has also announced its new tariff plan. It has become expensive by 50 paise a day to Rs 2.85 per day.
