JOB DESCRIPTION

The Sr. HR Coordinator will work closely with the Operations Manager, Faculty, Associate Director, and AYSPS College HR Officer & Coordinator to provide human resources and employee relations management and support. The center’s current scope of work includes health care access, health insurance, health policy, child health and child policy, school health, long-term care, cancer, community health system development, public health systems, social determinants of health equity and Medicaid.

The scope of responsibility will include these specific areas/duties but is not limited to the following:

HPC Recruitment and Hiring Process :

  • Assesses the needs and gaps of HPC workforce along with HPC’s executive leadership and management team and develops recruitment plan
  • Develops job descriptions to address workforce needs
  • Initiates, prepares, submits, and coordinates the review and approval of new and existing positions (PRFs) on behalf of HPC
  • Identifies and coordinates appropriate venues to post positions to draw quality candidate pool
  • Serves as point person for HPC search committees and candidates
  • Prepares and submits candidate recommendations
  • Serves as liaison to Dean’s office, AYSPS HR Officer & Coordinator, and GSU HR
  • Initiates and coordinates the HPC on-boarding process
Employee Relations :
  • Manages and troubleshoots employee/manager concerns
  • Identifies internal and external employee resources
  • Coordinates HPC employee evaluation process
  • Coordinates team building programs to retain employees and increase employee engagement
  • Recommends policies, practices and trainings based on employee relations trends
Employee Compensation :
  • Initiates, prepares and submits stipend requests
  • Initiates, prepares, submits and coordinates HPC’s in line adjustments and reclassifications process
  • Ensures pay equity across HPC position titles
  • Assists with troubleshooting related to GSU’s OneUSG

Staff Development and Training :

  • Manages and conducts HPC’s new employee orientation focused on understanding mission, goals, project portfolio and service areas. Also includes administrative, HR, and proposal development processes
  • Identifies and coordinates internal & external training opportunities for HPC staff based individual and organization needs
  • Assesses and ensures quality around work competencies and practices
